Alarming increasing rates of childhood obesity, children suffering with diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol and other diseases normally seen in adults. In addition we are seeing an increase in suicide, depression, anger, anxiety, hopelessness and an increase in bullying.
It is predicted this is the first generation with a shorter life expectancy than their parents.
Also it has been stated obesity is a threat to our national security.
In addition it cost the US $150 billion dollars annually on obesity related disorders.
According to the National Crime Prevention Council, every day 160,000 kids miss school because they’re afraid of being bullied.
